In 1947 dropped out his architecture studies to work with Josef Skupa. Between 1951 and 1953 worked for the Czech Television and took part in some of Karel Zeman films. Since 1951 carried out more than twenty-eight international exhibitions. At the 58th Exhibition in Brussels wined the gold medal for Shadow’s Play in collaboration with Jiri Trnka and received another gold medal in Neuchatel for Czech Crib.
Among the television series made for the Czech Television stands Broucci (1967). In 1969, designs and builds in Barcelona more than two hundred characters to the series The Land of Fantasy, a co-production by the Spanish and German Television. In 1970 the series received the Marconi Prize in Milan, the Golden Nymph at Monte Carlo and the Platero Gold prize in Gijón. In 1975 he made new puppets for Herta Frankel, including the black theatre characters for Love Play.
